Welcome to the East Coast Mx Club, we are affiliated to the ACU Yorkshire centre.
East Coast MX club will be run by riders for riders at a reasonable price. Our goal is to have a club that offers cheap racing with value for money at quality prepared tracks making sure you the riders get the value for money you deserve.
The club has been designed so anybody can get involved at the race meetings and be rewarded for your help and have the same privileges as the people running the club, and these are a free ride on the days you choose to help out at a meeting. These jobs are Lap scoring, start gate, marshalling, scrutineering etc. And yes you did read it right, if you do choose to help the club out with any of the above jobs on the day your rider will ride for free. This will be a system of first come first served, but we will keep this fair so everybody has the chance of a free ride.
It's up to individual people if they wish to help or not, if you don't wish to help you will not be penalised in anyway nor will it cost you any extra money. Also for this system to work we need to make sure the gates are as full as possible so complete the entry form and send back as soon as possible to guarantee your ride. This makes life easier for us running the club and makes less work on the day and lets us crack on with the meeting. It gives us a good idea 2-3 weeks before we run a meeting and also gives us chance to fill any spare places available. With the price being so cheap and with the amount of interest we are having we expect the places to be filled up quite quickly. We have 95 members up to now without advertising.
Registered riders are ones that have took out a membership before 1st March 09 and committed to the series and will be guaranteed a ride at each event they have signed for. Reserve riders are club members that have not committed to the series and are feeling lucky to get a ride. But the benefits of being a reserve rider is that you are a member of the club and you have the first refusal of available space at an event, you are also entitled to come along on organised practise/training days for members only. You may also become a club member even if you ride just for fun and the benefits these members will have they can come along to practice / training for members only and ride. We are also in talks with various companies for sponsorship / discounts to give back to Registered & Reserve club members.
If you have ticked yes to provide a marshal we still need payment or post dated cheques and you will be refunded on the day of the meeting.
Prize money/trophies: We will be giving out just trophies for most of our events, but for a few events we will be calling them a prize event, in which the adults will have a chance of wining money and the youth and kids will race for gift vouchers. We will not advertise which meeting these will be, you will be told when you sign on that day. On these days any rider can go home a winner for we are working a handicap system out; this will make your usual winners work for their prize but also giving someone back in 15th a chance of winning.
